Type of Employment: Full time – Permanent

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible    

Job duties:

·         Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

·         Plan menus, determine size of food portions.

·         Estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.

·         Inspect kitchens and food service areas.

·         Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.

·         Order supplies and equipment.

·         Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

·         Clean kitchen and work areas.

Requirements:                     

Education: Completion of high school

Experience: At least 3 years of experience OR if candidate does not have 3 years of experience a cooking post-secondary certificate is required.

Salary: $13.00 to $16.00 hourly, 40.00 hours per week. Position requires flexibility in scheduling; including evening or weekend hours as needed (shifts 9AM-5PM, 5PM-1AM, Half hour break between 4 hours work and 15 min lunch break.
