The famous Elk River in Fernie, British Columbia, is situated in the East Kootenays of the Canadian Rockies and this is where Kootenay Fly Shop & Guiding was established in 1995 to offer anglers a full service fly-fishing shop and British Columbia Guide Service for some of the best fly-fishing waters in North America.

Our full service fly shop provides the angler with a large selection of products, excellent local guide service, staff knowledgeable on products as well as the area and fisheries, accommodation requirements, transportation and shuttle services and equipment rentals.
