Mining Technical Services Team Supervisor

Our client is involved in the fire suppression business, and in this instance is looking to hire a Technical Service Supervisor for their Kootenays regional branch location for off road mining vehicles.

This role / person will deal with mine Foremen and Superintendents to secure new fire suppression service contracts and manage a team of local service technicians who will work on site at various mine locations, providing technical servicing and training for their fire suppression products.
Our client is looking for a capable team leader who also has a mid to high level of technical 'know how' in the fire suppression products sector, combined with the management and business development skills to try and:
1. secure new client service contracts
2. schedule the service technician schedules and ensure the service work was done properly
3. teach and train the less experienced service techs
4. oversee the company's service vehicle fleet and also their product, tool and material inventories.

This role could be a very positive step forward for the right candidate, who might be a senior service technician with plenty of industry-specific expertise, but who may be ready for more of a management role, and being less 'hands on' in the mines, as it's hard work and some people would prefer to work outside the mines.
